The Opportunity

The Nurse provides safe, high-quality, and compassionate nursing care to women, newborns, and children in accordance with approved clinical protocols within Maternal and Child Hospital services. The role supports improved maternal, neonatal, and child health outcomes through effective clinical and post-operative care, patient monitoring, infection prevention and control, accurate documentation, consent and counselling, and coordinated referral services. The Nurse ensures continuity of inpatient and outpatient care, supports emergency obstetric and neonatal services, promotes patient dignity and safety, and collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams while adhering to Save the Children International policies, child safeguarding standards, and professional nursing ethics in a humanitarian setting.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least three 2 years” experience, preferably, clinical experience in primary and emergency healthcare, tropical infections and diseases
  • Diploma/BSc in Nursing from an accredited academic institution and recognized & registered by Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council (BMDC)
  • Registered and licensed to practice by the Country”s Medical Board.
  • Experienced working in 24/7 health facilities and staff, including previous experience of supervising and mentoring other health staff.
  • Working experience in emergency response
  • Applicants must be willing to perform night duty on a scheduled basis
  • Sound knowledge on health and nutrition issues.
